This is a shorter version of my my thesis film completed at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism. Hasta la última gota follows the fight for water in Chile as the country debated a new constitution in 2022.

The full 18-minute version screened at the Mill Valley Film Festival as part of the “New Environmentalists” series as well as at the Banff Mountain Book & Film Festival

MAVERICKS

A self-produced 10-minute documentary about a small town baseball team in Oregon’s capital, the Salem-Keiser Volcanoes. In 2020, the MLB cut 43 teams from the minor league system, including the volcanoes. But instead of shutting their doors, the Volcano owners decided to start their own independent league. This film follows Nathan Gilman, a right-handed pitcher from Southern California, in his journey to join the Mavericks League.

TOLEDO'S LAST MASTER SWORD-MAKER

“Toledo's Last Master Sword-Maker” depicts the daily practice of Mariano Zamorano, a fourth-generation master sword-maker and craftsman at his workshop in Toledo, Spain. Mariano talks about the historical significance of sword-making in the area and speaks to the value that artisanal products instill upon communities.

WITH RUGS UNFURLED

A self-produced 20-minute documentary about the social relations surrounding artisan rug production in Morocco, this film follows the long road Moroccan rugs take from mounting the hand-spun wool on the loom to the haggling over rugs in a high end bazaar.
